Terms of service

These terms govern business use of PullMVR. They are not a consumer agreement: drivers whose records we hold have separate rights, described under disputes and file disclosure.

Who may use the service

Only businesses we have credentialed. Before an account is opened we verify who you are and what you are entitled to request, and you sign an end-user agreement certifying the purposes you will rely on. An account is limited to the purposes, states and products granted to it; a request outside them is refused and recorded.

Permissible purpose

Every order must carry a permissible purpose under the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (18 U.S.C. §2721). You state it at the time of the order, it is recorded, and it cannot be changed afterwards. You are responsible for the accuracy of that statement.

Where your purpose is the written consent of the individual, you must hold the signed authorisation and be able to produce it. Where you order a record for employment purposes, the Fair Credit Reporting Act imposes additional obligations on you — disclosure to the individual, authorisation, and the adverse action process — and those obligations are yours, not ours.

What you may not do

  • Order a record without a permissible purpose.
  • Use a record for a purpose other than the one you stated.
  • Resell or redistribute a record, unless we have agreed in writing.
  • Share account credentials, or let anyone use the account who is not covered by your certification.

We monitor for these. An account may be suspended immediately where we believe a record was obtained without a permissible purpose.

Fees

Each order is priced as the state fee, the data provider's fee and our service fee, itemised separately. The state fee is passed through at cost and we do not mark it up. Prices are shown before you confirm an order.

Accuracy

We deliver what the state provides. We do not create the underlying record and we cannot alter it. If the record is wrong, the individual it concerns may dispute it with us, and we are required to reinvestigate.

Suspension and termination

Confidentiality and data protection

Governing law and disputes
